Devon School Open Days

Are you looking for information on Devon school open days? The last in our series of blogs on secondary school transition puts the dates all in one place so you don’t have to trawl through each and every school website for the information.

As Sarah mentioned in her blog on applying to secondary schools in Devon, making a decision about which secondary school to send your child can be stressful for both you and your children. Information can be confusing and can be difficult to compare.

The best way to make your decision more straight forward is by taking the opportunity to visit any potential secondary schools that are on your short (or long) list.

At this time of year, secondary schools make this easy for you by opening their doors in a series of ‘Open Events’. This is where you and your children are invited in to experience a taster of what the school can offer.

Below, I’ve collated all of the open events happening North and Mid Devon schools so that you can make a note of your preferred ones in your diary.

If You’ve Missed A School Open Day

Several of these schools have very early dates for their open events. If you’ve missed a school open day at a school that you would like to look around, give them a ring and explain the situation – I am sure that there will be ways that the school will be able to accommodate your visit.

When you do visit, come prepared with some questions that you want to ask and places that you want to see. Remember, this is a great opportunity to make a difficult decision a little more easy!
